From the start, with her debut album to show for it, Taylor Dayne proved she is no artist to be categorized. Her versatile voice lends itself to challenge any musical genre from pop to rock, from adult contemporary to dance music. Taylor’s distinctive vocal sound resembles great voices such as Janis Joplin’s or Tina Turner’s.
Having gathered double platinum and golden albums, several Grammy nominations and a string of top 10 hits, Taylor went on to explore various other facets such as acting in films and television series and taking the stage in musicals, including the big Broadway production ‘Aida’.
Taylor’s musical projects throughout the past decade or so portray her own experiences and show the artist’s growth and maturing. Over the years Taylor has earned recognition, beyond chart success.

As 2018 marked the 30th Anniversary of Taylor's debut, a ‘Deluxe Anniversary Edition’ is now available. The track list includes a mix of older hits and more recent tracks such as ‘Dreaming’, as well as a new remix - Tommorowland style - of ‘Tell It To My Heart’ and a laid back R&B version of ‘Love Will Lead You Back’.
To help celebrate, several celebrity friends join Taylor in a YouTube video singing along to the album's classic title track: Wynonna Judd, Debbie Gibson, RuPaul, Urbana Chappa Lawrence, Kris Humphries and Kris Jenner. Rupaul also shared a snippet of her belting out the chorus on Instagram. Ru has always been a fan, wishing to have a voice like the Dayne. Back in 1988 the song peaked at No.7 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated January 23. The rest is history, as they say.
Valentine's Day will see the release of Taylor's first book publication ‘Tell It To My Heart: How I Lost My S#*t, Conquered My Fear, and Found My Voice’. It serves as a Memoir, with Dave Smitherman, looking at Taylor's musical journey, both as an artist and a professional business woman.
Taylor describes her Memoir as "gritty, real, and truthful". A must read for fans, musicians, artists, and woman of all ages.
